I have to admit I had a lot of fun making this little card. It started with my friend Traci wanting me to come up with a paper-pieced card with this little Santa from "Naughty or Nice". I hunted through all of my SU! paper (that I had a reasonable quanity of, LOL) and came up with these Rose Red polka Dots from Cutie Pie.
Then I remembered that Mary Jo Albright had an adorable card on her blog the other day using a snowman and colored snowballs. You can see her card here on her blog, Beauty Lies Within. She used Simple Snowman, but I loved the little ball that reminded me of the Santa a few years ago that was tossing something in the air. (Hers are punched and handdrawn, I used alphadots) So, My Rose Red and Celery and Santa combined with her Soft Sky and the snowballs to come up with this. I think it turned out pretty stinkin cute, and still easy enough for club. All the black outlines are hand doodled, it just added that little something it needed without distressing the edges or using the all in a row set. I'll have more tomorrow, I've had a busy stamping day!
Absolutely ADORABLE! I love how you paper pieced Santa's coat!
