I told you guys last week I had lots of new stamps in the house. This is one I finally inked up. I love the set and have seen gorgeous samples with it, but I feel very challenged by it. Its by My Favorite Things, called "Boho Blossoms".
I used Beate's WSC24 for the layout, and I guess this counts for the Pink color challenge on SCS this week?? There are some gorgeous images in this set, I chose this flower because I wanted to play with my new Versamagic Dew Drops. I used Purple Hydrangea and Perfect Plumeria. The colors are very pretty, they remind me of some Encore pads I had years ago. I inked up the flower on the center with the purple, then around the edges with the Plum...a great thing you can do with the small pads (spots, cats eyes and dew drops, etc). The flowers (there are 2 layered on each other) are stamped on Pale Plum, then cut out and folded to give some dimension.
The other layers of the card are Perfect Plum and Purely Pomegranate (Stampin' Up!). I used the same flower and inked only one petal and stamped it along the edge at the bottom. With clear acrylics its great that you can see where you are placing a stamp, and not need the assistance of a stamp-a-ma-jig. The card was completed with ticket corner punch, round tab punch, a half pearl from the Pretties kit (new this year from Stampin' Up!), and double stitched pomegranate ribbon.
Thanks for stopping in!
