Greeting Farm Friday

Happy Friday! Its been a good week, I have had more stamping time, my house isn't a disaster and my allergies aren't killing me. Woohoo!  I feel like celebrating, or shopping, but sadly I am broke.

So, in lieu of going shopping myself, I colored up this cute  Miss Anya with all her shopping bags.  (Anya is from The Greeting Farm)  I was in a pink & black kinda mood so I pulled out this really old yet fun paper from Urban Lily.  I also finally tried out my new "Smooch"...I used the pretty pearl white on her argyle socks and her eyeshadow...click on the image for a closeup!  (got the smooch from Betty).

The layout for the card is Dawny's sketch from this weeks Papertake weekly Challenge (I know I did one already, but I liked it!)  Sentiment is from Amy R Stamps (designed by Amy Rysavyand available through All That Scraps).

Willow with Sunhat...PCP sketch

I am once again quickly typing, as Perry is on his way to class in a minute.  And, Still no computer.  WHINE!!!

This is Willow with Sunhat,  another image from the Spring Kit at Whiff of Joy...now available for those of you who missed the kit as separate stamps!  I used the sketch this week at Papercraft Planet for the layout of the card.  The sentiment is another Amy R Stamps images.

The paper is all Making Memories...a purchase enabled by Amy Sheffer with her gorgeous cards using this line!  Willow is actually cut out and then adhered to a white piece of cs that was run through my Cuttlebug with Diamonds in the Rough, but it was really hard to get a good pic of that.  If you click on the photo to enlarge it, you can see it better :)

A baby card, Amy R style

  Good morning!  does evryone have plans for the weekend?  I want to get some scrapping done if the kids allow!  Its another COLD day here in NC so of course they are stuck inside...my guess is they will be on Guitar Hero all day again!

OK, so I needed a baby card, and I just love all the little clothes that Amy put in her last set..."Amy's Wardrobe". (Go to Amy's blog for sneak peeks of her new adorable Wedding set!!)  I chose the little onsie for y card :)  Amy R Stamps are avaiable through All That Scraps!

Since I was using Amy's stamps, I thought I would kinda take on her style a bit too, so since Papertrey is always appearing on her cards (wonder why??) I pulled out my Pink patterns to paper-piece the little onesies.  The hangers were stamped directly on the white mat then I laid the cut-out pieces right over those.

Well, its a pretty straightforward card today, so I am outta here and sneaking off to the stamp room!  Thanks for dropping in!

Whiff of Joy Challenges...

Guess What?? Whiff of Joy is having their first NEW RELEASE party over at the WoJ group on Papercraft Planet this afternoon (5pm EST)!  Cool!  I hate I will miss most of it :(  But Katharina also having a sketch challnge for a chance to win some of the new releases!!  Its a new birthday line by Alison Acton...and those Party animals are super-cute!!!

But, on to the cards!!   I have a couple of challenge cards for you this afternoon!  First up...the last challenge on the Whiff of Joy challenge blog for December was good for the whole month (thanks goodness).  The challenge was to do a Christmas card in non-traditional colors (no red or green).

So, here is what I came up with last week.  This is Charlotte with Reindeer from Whiff of Joy.  She is one of the first stamps I ever ordered from Katharina and ...still one of my favorites!  I chose to pair her with some old pp from my stash is Pinks and Turquoise.  I think the layout  was also a sketch challenge from somewhere a couple of weeks back, but now I don't remember!

End of Year ATS DT Challenge

  This week the All That Scraps  DT was isuued a last Wednesday challenge for the year...to make snow themed cards...but no Christmas paper.  I actually took that to heart and didn't even use Winter paper...I used pp from the Basic Grey line Offbeat.  These were paired with some snowy friends from the new CC Designs set Snowmen.

The first card uses my favorite image from the set, the skater!  She is colored with copics then jazzed up a bit with some Tiara stickles on her blades.  The background mat is a curvy rectangle megabilities...I have GOT to get these!!  The sentiment for this card is from the same set.

  Here are more images from the same adorable set...Christopher and a couple of his snowmen pals.  I did this one as a tent card using the new Spellbinders label nesties as the topper.  The sentiment for this one is from one of Amy's sets...Christmas Sentiments...also available at All That Scraps.

I have to also say goodbye today to being on the All That Scraps team...sadly, my year is up.  It has  been a great year, full of adorable stamps, fun friends, new stamp srtists, and a wonderful gal to design for...the fab artist Christine Wooden...thanks for everything Christine!  You are the best!

Pink Cat Studio Challenge

Need some shades??  Here's a wild challenge from Heather for Pink Cat Studio...3 times 3, 6 by 6, and 1 of 3.  The challenge can be found HEREat the PCS forum in Paper Craft Planet.

The color combo ( the one of three part) I picked was Pixie Pink, Tempting Turquoise and Silver.  Didn't have any silver cs within reach, so I added a bunch of silver dots with a silver sharpie poster pen.  The 3 times 3...3 different elements, 3 different of each...

3 different circle punches...

3 different buttons (actually I used 4)

3 diffreent ribbons

The only hard part for me was the 6x6...not usually so hard to make a large square card...I love those...but all the PCS images that I have are kinda smallish.  I ended up with Lily from the Dress Up Lily plate.  Anywho...I think it turned out wild but fun!

Once again, I have waited until the absolute very latest minute...Whiff of Joy  had the last Guest DT call due today...and I may have even gotten the time zone conversion messed up??  WHo knows.  Even if, I love how the page ended up so, whatever!!!

edited:  Yep, too late!  I thought I converted right, but I was rushing and had a HOUSE full of kids...as if my 4 aren't enough, try adding 3 more (plus my friends) :)

So...I used Katharina's setch for the challenge and decided to do  a page instead of a card.  I have been really bad about not scrapping as much lately...and here is an early resolution...I WILL scrap more this year!!

  Here's the first closeup of the page.  I stamped 2 Guardian Angels for the layout...Melinda blowing kisses and Matthew with presents (both are Whiff of Joy).  I added some swirls from the SU! set Season of Joy.  The large tile is actually one of many in a package from Technique Tuesday.  I inked it directly with a cats eye chalk pad, then stamped over that with Palette ink with the same swirl.

All images were colored with copics, then I added Buttercream Shimmerz to the wings of both angels and the hearts.

  On this closeup you can really see the tile, as well as some of the many buttons I added, the scalloped edge on the PP and the bg paper...it was traced with a larger tile from the same pack then I cut it out and inked the edges.

Little Black Dress

 What does every woman need in her wardrobe?  A basic "little black dress" of course!  And Amy Rysavy'snewest sets have just that...a wardrobe, a little black dress, and much more! 

 Amy is releasing two sets tonight at All That Scraps... Amy's Wardrobe and Wardrobe Sentiments.  The wardrobe is absolutely adorable and it is HUGE...check out Amy's post HEREto see the size of it.

I started with Amy's sketch from Friday for the layout...see the sketch HERE.  I stamped the dress on PTI White then cut it out with new Megabilities labels (from Spellbinders) that I borrowed from Heather :)  Then I stamped the dress again on black from Urban Prairie Basic Grey, added the hanger (also paper-pieced) and did a lot of light distressing in Basic Gray ink.  The flower is new Aloha Blossoms by Prima, the brads are Bazzill.  The hanger and bg pieces of paper are Basic Grey Ambrosia.  Final touch of a bit of Tiara stickles (a gift from my secret sis Christine)

At the North Pole

  Happy Monday!  I have to confess...if I haven't already... that my life may be a bit more hectic...thus less blogging for the next few weeks.  I have taken on a new job, and may also do some work for my hubby...so I need a bit to get in the swing of changed hours.

In the meantime...I do have a card for you today that I didn't post last week during the sneak peeks for the new releases at All That Scraps.  This card uses the set The North Pole and also a sentiment from one of Amy R'sstamp sets.  Its a simple pocket card, but I also added a panel with the new gotta-have Spellbinders label die to the front.  (This I blame on Lesa!!)

Digi Angels

  Last night was the release of 6 new sets at All That Scraps, as well as a new digi set...Angels Everywhere.  These digi images are really contagious...it is immediate gratification when you purchase the download..then just print that baby off...and NO bleeding when I color with my copics, woohoo!!

I made 2 angel cards yesterday.  They are absolutely precious...there are 7 to choose from...and you can get the details HEREat the ATS blog.  (While you are there I believe Amy will announce the new ATS 2009 DT today)

I colored this little baby angel in to match some new PP I wanted to play with from Bo Bunny...the colors are so soft and baby:)  I also added some sewing to this one, it just needed it and I haven't pulled out the machine in a few weeks.  I used Taylor V'sCupcake sketch for this layout...it was perfect...thanks Taylor!

Here's another angel from the set.  I cut her out and left off the halo and I think she looks a lot like Japanese anime, yeah? (well, not the colors, but the piggy tales) Anyway...she is paired with some Basic Gray Urban Prairie papers and I used the Friday Sketcherssketch for this one.  To paper-piece her dress I printed her out again on the pattern paper...I printed her on computer paper, then adhered a small square of the PP over the image  and ran it back through the printer...thus not wasting my precious paper.

 

And hey!  guess what the challenge was at Cute Card Thursday?  Fairies & Angels!   Bam!!  OK, I am outta here to find some stampng time while all the kiddos are occupied :)   Thanks for popping in!

Cupcake Occasions!

A girl can never have eough cupcakes!  Diane drew the absolute cutest Cupcake set for this All That Scraps release.  This set has toppers for every season, candles, bottoms, and sentiments...it all mixes and matches!

I finally found some more stamping time today and I have gotten a lot done...yipee!!  I have 2 more cards to show you now...both using the new Cupcake Occasions set by Cookie Crumbs, illustrated by Diane Zechman.  For the first one I used the penguin cupcake topper cause it matched this cute paper I had!  The card layout is based on Beate's WSCfrom last week (I think).  The sentiment is from one of Amy R's new sets.

Celebrating Halloween with some Christmas cards :)

Happy Halloween!  I hate to admit it, but I am kind of sick of the Halloween cards and treats :(  So I did a couple of Christmas Challenges for today instead!  The first card is for the Whiff of Joy Challnge blog...this weeks challenge was to use red and green.  I pulled out Whiff of JoyCharlotte riding her adorable reindeer which I haven't stamped in a while and made her all nice and sparkly!  I used some of the 6x6 Figgy paper from Basic Grey that I still have from last year and paired it with Riding Hood Red and Always Artichoke...not really bright enough for me...but I have to get out of my box some.

The poinsettia flowers are by Making Memories, and I added some stickles to them and to the brads in their centers....as well as to the brad that I added to my ribbon and Charlotte's earmuffs :)  I got to use some of my Spellbinders dies again...the double end tag and my brackets that shamefully had never been out of the package :(  The sentiment is from one of Amy R Stampsnewest sets...Christmas Sentiments.

Here's another Christmas card for you, this one using the other 2 new sets that Amy Rjust released at All That Scrapsthis week!  The ornaments were created with the Build a Holiday set....it is absolutely perfect for paper-piecing....Amy was reading our minds!!  I stamped the circles on different pieces of the Figgy paper, then the tops on some goldish tone Figgy paper and adhered them both to the squares.  Finally I added a touch of stickles to the ornaments.  (This card is based on the SCS sketch this week)

The greeting is actually one that is meant for the inside...thus the name of the set...Christmas Card verses, but I wanted something bigger for this card so I put it on the front.  And let me tell you...this is THE set you have ALWAYS wanted!  How many times have you looked for the right sentiment for the inside when addressing and filling out Christmas cards?  Forever!  But no longer!  The set is here and it rocks!!  Click HEREto see the sets.  AND they are on sale today!!

Triple Challenge card

  Here's another peek for you of the new Amy R Stamps being released on Monday at All That Scraps...3 new sets by designer extraordinaire Amy Rysavy!  The "holly" is from the same set that I showed you some of yesterday...."Build a Holiday" and the sentiment is from the set "Christmas Sentiments"...this is like a one-stop shopping trip for Christmas sentiments (and just wait to see the other set tomorrow!!!) there are tons of combinations...but my favs are the large words that Amy included in the set like Peace... Gorgeous!

For this card I took on a bunch of challenges this week at Splitcoast....this weeks color challenge (CC189: Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss & Chocolate Chip), Ways to Use It (WT189: Just one) and Limiteed Supplies (LSC191: Leaf it to me).  Wow!!  The layout is simply a matter of using the scraps of the Bella Rose DSP that I had :)  The border I created with my scallop border punch and a 1/8" hole punch.

For my next card I tried to think outside the box a bit...I was looking at the snowmans arms thinking....hmm, antlers??  My reindeer is  a little kiddish  looking, but it reminds me of the cute crayon Christmas set from SU! a few years back.  This will just have to be a card for a child!  I added a few trees to the scene (which I may take off...its just not quite right).  The sentiment is stamped directly on the PP and I added a strip with the old Snowflake Cuttlebug folder.  and of course he needed a red nose!!

Amy's Boutique!

<-------Check this out!!  I mentioned this the other day, but today I am giving full spotlight to the one and only Amy Rysavy as I give you some peeks of her brand spankin' new stamp line!!  CC Designs (AllThat Scraps) brings you Amy R Stamps...her first 2 sets are being released this Tuesday!  They are Amy's Boutique and Boutique Sentiments.

Since I am on the ATS DT I got to preview Amy's stamps too!  and let me tell you...absolutely adorable!  Its a whole little set of fashion elements...you'll see better in a minute :)  And the sentiments set has like a million little stamps that coordinate.  These were SOOOOo much fun to play with!  They are perfect for paper-piecing and the little sentiments are just right for all of our small punches!

So, on to the previews!  I actually have 3 very different cards for you today all using the same 2 sets.  we'll start first with the my style card: 

This is also the first I made with the set.  I saw that cute little maternity tank and thought of the fun patterns in SU!s new Hawaii Papaya DSP.  LOVE IT!!  I stamped the hanger and the shirt, then colored in the hanger.  Stamped the shirt again on the PP and then cut it out (this way I didn't have to cut those dang straps)

I went to town with the sewing machine on this cause I just love that Tangerine colored thread!!  I also added a few dew drops...not just on the border, but randomly on the bg of the big flowers on the left panel.

Next I have some funky glittery shoes for you!  I adore the sentiment on this one..."If the shoe fits buy one in every color"...too funny!

I colored them all in with my copics, then added some shimmer with a glitter pen on the outside of each shoe.  The colors are borrowed from the yummy SEI Black Orchid PP...totally my colors...bright and some black and white thrown in!!

Last, I have a card for you that was a bit out of my zone...colors and layout.  The dress was pieced with Sassafras Lass PP then "hung" on the hanger that was stamped and colored with copics.  The main panel was cut and embossed with my rectangle nestabilities...then I added some flowers from my ATS secret sis!!
