This image just makes me want to squeel!!!  In fact when my envelope arrived from Switzerland this week I did squeel...I went running from the mailbox to open it....my new Whiff of Joy  stamps!!  They are sooooo cute!  I couldn't wait to get them all inky, but that just didn't happen this week...kids getting ready to go back to school seems to have overtaken my life.

So finally this weekend I pulled out the first one which was Winter Charlotte and cat.  You KNOW how I love all my kitties so this was the first to go into my cart, get mounted, and get inked!  I used Jen del Muro's  SFYTT from about 2  weeks ago...the format was just right for one of these large images.  I also pulled out some old paper that wasn;t getting any love and a couple of last year's SU! Christmas sets.  The sentiment is Elzybells, and the oval is A Muse.  I added just a touch of sparkle to her eyes and jacket with a Gelly Roll stardust glitter pen.

I have a great ide with this same image, and I hope to sneak in a few stamping minutes tonight to try it out... In the meantime, Happy Saturday!   Thanks for stopping by :)     -Cyndi

Whiff of Joy is open!

So, I have one last night to enter for the Guest DT call that Katharina put out in -----> this post.  I sent in the one card with Pink Cat Studio stamps the other night, but thought I should maybe send in another a bit more girlie...so I chose one of my beloved Elzybells.  Here is my 2nd entry...cause I really want all those new stamps (and can't afford them all)!   And, I would just love to design with them...who wouldn't, right?? 

I actually had a ton of fun creating this card.  I used Katharina's sketch again, but I took a bit more creative liberty with it this time.  I changed it from a square to a A2 card.  The background paper I am just in love with!  I started with the red/pink polka dot paper in the new SU! Bella Rose paper pack that I picked up as a demo pre-view.  Then I inked up a single flower on the daisy trio Elzybell stamp and placed it in each open dot.  Then those got colored in with a red copic and the center with my white gel pen.  Isn't that neat looking??  I am so proud of myself!!

The main panel is stamped and colored with copic markers and my Spica glitter pens...they are perfect for itsy bitsy spaces like the girls' sparkly shoes!  For the circle "text" spot from the sketch I masked off part of the "friends forever" sentiment so that it would fit in the small circle punch.  Then I placed that on top of the Styled silver hodgepodge piece with a couple of glue dots and attched the whole thing with some ribbon strung through the holes.   My creativity today just astounded me.  I hope my muse sticks around for a while!!

A Quick card...

OK, I am taking time for one quick post, then I must get back to my best friend...Carl (the trimmer).  He is feeling very overused and well-loved this week as I have been non-stop cutting cardstock for the big Scrapbook Day next weekend.

This little card is using Beate's WSC from last week.  I flipped it to make the image work better though.  I used my cute little new fav Girl and Frog from Elzybells.  I also finally cut into my new Papertrey carstock...Spring Moss and Aqua Mist.  Wow...love it!  There is also a peek of the new patterned paper as a mat under the girl.  And the new pads match perfecto and who doesn't love the quality of the Stewart Palette Hybrid pads??  The wide grosgrain is also from Papertrey in the same Perfect match color line of Aqua Mist.

I cut the sentiment out with my Circle Nestabilities on my Cuttlebug...masking the long sentiment so that I could make it into 2 small lines instead.  The images are coored with my Copic markers.  Thanks for visiting!  I will have my Scrappy Sketch up for you in the am, so don't forget to check back :)

I'm back!

Sorry to be absent for a few days, I've been plugging away trying to figure out my last minute details for all the pages for my Scrapbook Day :)  So, luckily I had made a few things a while back that I haven't shared yet!

In honor of the A Muse and Elzybells Spring release today, here's a little Elzy for you.  This is a cute little DVD tin that I altered with some cute paper that I found at Michael's.  I picked up those colors and colored in my Girl with Frog with some of my Copic colors that I hadn't used before.  She is stamped on Papertrey Stampers Select white cardstock, which I then ran through my Cuttlebug using my Rectangles Nestabilities.  The rest of the mats are also using my Nestabilities.  I got the yummy ribbon by May Arts from All That Scraps.

Inside the little tin I sent a few stamped images for my bloggin' buddy Libby who just had her sweet baby girl Courtney.  I wanted her to have a mom gift:)

My 200th post! An Elzybell baby card

I can't believe its my 200th post already...where does time go?  Its also my 1 year blogaversary this month, so stay tuned for some great Blog candy later next week!!

I am sooooo excited that my Elzybells are finally here.  It seemed to take forever for them to get here.  My local store has  a few A Muse stamps, but they are just now starting to order Elzybells.  Well, helloooo.  I want them NOW!!  So, I had to order online when everyone else did and it seems the whole world ordered them that week :)  And I have to confess, I ordered way more than I should have.  I am blaming that on the photo that Rhonda M took after her spree...it was so enticing to see that great big pile!   Rhonda, you enabler!

This first card actually has a destination this week.  Its a congratulations card for my blogging friend Libby Hickson over at Libby's Little Addiction.  Hey Libby if you are back catching up yet!!  She gave birth to a beautiful  baby girl, Courtney, this week.  I have a little something else for her that I'll save as a suprise in case she is reading this!  I'll share that goodie later next week too.

For the girl on the moon stamp, I stamped her in Palette Hybrid Noir (speaking of which, did you hear the news on Nichole's blog about Papertrey?  WOW!) on Papertrey Stampers select white.  She is colored with my copic markers and I added a bit of sponging in Pretty in Pink to soften it up a bit.  The pattern paper strip is from Heidi Grace and is matted on SU! Close to Cocoa.  The card base is SU! Whisper WHite and the polka dot paper is from AC Moore, brand unknown.  The ribbon IRL matches way better than it photographs, its Pretty in Pink tafetta from SU!  The sentiment is from Nursery Necessities and is punched out with the Word Window punch.

Pink Elzybells

Here's one of the little projects that we will be doing for the Teacher Christmas Gift Camp.  I love these little band-aid tins, but they are sooo hard to find right now.  I have just enough for my class Friday and Saturday I hope :)

I was in a pink mood so I pulled out this gorgeous shimery paper from KI Memories to wrap around the tin.  Its adhered with Sticky Strip.  The Elzybell is called A Winter Song.  She is colored in with my Stampin' Write markers in Pretty in Pink, Pixie Pink, Green Galore, So Saffron, Close to Cocoa, Bordering Blue.  I stamped the little snowflake from "Snowfall" in Pixie Pink then punched it out with the Snow Blossom punch.  It was very easy to put together and will make a great little holder for a gift card.

While I had these colors out, I used one of the Elzybells images that I stamped with Heather's stamps last week.   The paper is the same.  She is colored in with Spica glitter pens...they shimmer sooo much IRL, but its hard to see from the photo.

Another Elzybells

I can't seem to stay away from the adorable little Elzybells!  I sure hope they release a bunch more of these with springtime images!  In the meantime, head over and order some of the cute little Winter and Holiday stamps!  You can get them HERE.

This is a card I made last week for the stash.  It uses "Girl with Sleigh".  I used the Wintergreen DSP for the color inspiration.  She is colored with my SU! STampin' Write markers in Certainly Celery, Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Blush Blossom, Sage Shadow, Soft Sky, and Close to Cocoa.  I stamped the image on Papertrey Stampers Select.  She's layered onto Stampin' Up! cardstock in Celery, Artichoke, and Sky.  The scallop edge was created with my slit punch, and all of the ribbon is from Stampin' Up!  Thanks for visiting :)    Cyndi

Mistletoe Mouse

I promised you guys a sample with my **NEW** glitter pens, wow, they are fun!!  When Heather came over the other night she brought all of her Elzybells so that I could stamp some of hers and she stamped some of the ones I had.  I colored in a few differnt things with the pens, and even though this image only has a bit of the glitter used, I actually put this one together as a card.

The image is called Mistletoe Mouse.  I know, so stinkin' cute!!  I colored him in with my copic markers then added a bit of pizzazz to the mistletoe with the Spica pens.  I also used the red one to make the dots around the edge of the scallop circle.  Its kinda hard to see the way they shine from the photo, sorry...but IRL it is soooo pretty!  Its a very simple layout, just a bunch of layers.  The pattern paper is from Bo Bunny, and the cardstock is Bazzill and Stampin' Up!  The "Merry Kiss-mas" sentiment is also an Elybells stamp.

More Elzybells for you

I can't tell you how much I just LOVE these stamps!  I have 2 more cards to share with you tonight.  The first is using Girls with Tree and Girl with Sleigh.  They just seem to go together!    You can visit the Elzybells page at ElzybellsNA.  Its a company based in the UK, but there are selling in NorthAmerica through A Muse.

I stamped them on Whisper WHite and colored them in with my Stampin' Write markers and a blender pen.  I used Regal Rose, Real Red, Taken with Teal, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Blush Blossom, Creamy CAramel, and Bordering Blue.  The main piece is layered on Taken with Teal cardstock.  The pieces under that are the red snowflake pattern from the Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' kit.  Both the red pieces and the white are bordered with a hand-doodled line with my Stampin' Journaler.  The main base is Real Red, with a layer of Old Olive on top.  It was stamped with the dots from the Three for You punch box.  The little sentiment "Merry Christmas" is also by Elzybells.  I inked half of it at a time with my Real Red marker so that I could stack the words instead of one long sentiment (make sense?).  I punched that out with the Round tab punch and added a couple of basic pewter brads.  The Ways to Use it Challenge this week on SCS was to use our unique brads, so I pulled out this cute Pewter Snowflake from my stash...I think it was Making Memories?  but the packaging is gone.  I wrapped the pieces (what are those parts of the brad called, does anyone know?)  around the bow then added it to the card with a glue dot.

The next card is for this weeks Color challenge: Krafty Pomegranate... Kraft, Whisper WHite, and Purely Pomegranate.  I have seen some gorgeous cards this week with this combination!  Thanks Emily for the inspiration!  I used another cute little stamp from Elzybells: Reindeer Star.  Isn't it sooooo cute!!  I colored them in with my markers again...it came out kinda dark on the Kraft, but it does look brighter IRL.  I used Close to Cocoa and a blender pen/turned Pomogranate marker.  I colored the star and along the snow line with my white gel pen.  The background of the card is stamped with the little snowflake from Sesaonal Whimsy in Whisper WHite Kraft ink,  I wanted it subtle, but is it too subtle?  Should I have made the snowflakes stars instead and colored them the same as the one, or would that take away from the main image too much?  WHat do you think?  The sentiment is also an Elzybells stamp, the ribbon is SU! Kraft taffeta...what a gorgeous color!!

Cute little Elzybells

OK, I can't stand it....she is so cute!!  This little stamp is called A Winter Song, from the Winter collection over at Elzybells NA.  (The sentiment is called a little note).  There are tons of adorable images, and shipping was super fast! 

She was stamped with Pallette Noir on Whisper WHite and colored with Copic markers.  I added a bit of Stickles for a touch of bling :)  The main image is matted on Regal Rose and then on Certainly Celery that was cut and embossed with the 2nd largest scalloped rectangle Nestabilties from  Spellbinders Paper Arts.   The card base is Soft Sky that was stamped with the snowflake from SU!'s NAughty or Nice set.  The card is  all tied up with some wide Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon and a little celery brad.

I fell so in love with this little card that  I made a few of them for thank yous I needed...look out, one may be coming your way!

Elzybells are in the House!

Aren't thet just soooo stinkin' cute?!!  I finally caved last week and had to order some.  There are tons more that I wanted, but how many Christmas stamps does a girl need?  I can't wait to ink these up!  They arrived yesterday and I made myself finish some other stuff up tonight before I could play with my new toys ;)

I  hope to share some cards with these cute little gals this week!
