Weiman Wranglers

A few days ago Melissa at Pink Cat Studio released some new digi-images of Billy and Lily called Weiman Wranglers.  Read on below to find out about these special stamps.

Here is what Melissa wrote on the PCS blog:

"Today we are releasing these new digital stamps to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in honor of Ethan Weiman. Little Ethan passed away on June 12th from Neuroblastoma cancer. Ethan was a true cowboy and loved horses, balloons and Knock Knock jokes. By purchasing these digital stamps you will help brighten the day of a sick child as the money we raise will go towards making one of their dreams come true.

Last week Lauren Meader, a member of my DT, contacted me to ask if I could make some digi stamps to help raise some money in order to honor Ethan and the Weiman family. I thought that was such a wonderful idea and got right to designing. Lauren told me that Ethan loved my Cowboy Billy stamp so she suggested that I design a new Cowboy stamp for Ethan and one for his little sister Ava too. Ethan loved horses and balloons so that is how we came up with the design of the kiddies riding their horses and holding a balloon.

We would be so grateful if you would help us to raise some money in Ethan’s honor. All proceeds from the sale of the stamps, after Paypal fees are deducted, will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois as requested by Alicia and Dave Weiman."

I downloaded the stamps and have a card with Lily to share with you today.

As I said its been a full week, so not too complicted.  I used last weeks challenge from Cute Card Thursday...to do a tag. And this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge is to use a download!  Papers are from Creative Imagination, charm is Karen Foster.

Soccer Billy

Hello!  I've been working a bit more lately and haven't had a chance to post this weekend, sorry :(

I have another Sporty Billy card for you.  This is Soccer Billy, part  of the Sporty Billy set,  new from Pink Cat Studio this month.  I used the sketch from Papertake Weekly for the layout of the card.  Papers are from my stash, some old but fun Scenic Route.

Sporty Billy stamps available today!

Today is the big day!  The new Sporty Billy set is finally available at Pink Cat Studio!  So, what are you waiting for??  Here's a peek at the whole set:

This is Surfer Billy...Duuuude.  Looks like he's having a blast with his pal.

Billy is stamped on white then colored with copics and cut out and popped up.  All the layers are from a Deja' Vus mini kit....Mango.  The palm tree is from Autumn Leaves (Mindy's Zoo set), buttons are Basic Grey.  I inked all the layers with cats eye chalks ink...Lime pastel, Tangerine, and Yellow citrus.

I picked up this plain wooden door hanger at Micahel's and thought it would be cute done up to match Michael's room.  So I covered it with paper from K&Co....more of the Rough & Tumble pad.  Then I stamped Billy and cut him out and matted him on a couple of coordianting solids. 

His name was cut out with my Cricut...dots were hand-doodled.  Buttons are from Basic Grey and the ribbon was from a designer pack from SU! a while back.

Michael hasn't actually started playing football yet, just with the neighboorhood boys, but maybe this fall :)

OK, so thats it for today!  First day out of school for the kiddos, and they are itching to get to the pool!  (well, Rachael is on swim team and already there, LOL...but Michael is begging to go today!)

SCORE!

I'm back with more of my best bud Billy!  He's new from Pink Cat Studio and will be released tomorrow!!  Here's baseball Billy and his tag-along catcher, hehe!!

For this card I was in the mood for a kick-stand card.  The top of the card base  is cut away a bit at the bottom, then the main panel extends so that it forms a kick-stand.

I used the same K & Co papers again...the colors were bright and fun and very sporty looking :)  The large baseball is actually a coordinating K& Co sticker that I stuck over the baseball stamped image to make it look really big and coming right off the card.

More of the ribbon slides again too, but this time I used one of the sentiments from the set and adhered it right over the slide for just a bit of depth and interest behind the sentiment.

Football anyone?

Its sneak peek time at Pink Cat Studio!  Today I get to show you Football Billy (well, American Football that is!)

I fell in love with the Billy images from the first release of them last fall since I have a little boy and it is soooo hard to find boy stamps!  But I really  LOVE the sports themes!!  My little guy is all boy and loves all sports :)

For this card I stamped Billy (and I kept him attatched to the little dogs in all of my stamps when I cut them out.  They could easily be separated, but I chose not to) and then stamped the "8" on his Jersey.  The set includes all digits to make your own jersey numbers...cool!!

He's colored to match my bg papers which are from a variety of companies (see below).  There is actually a really cute "touchdown" sentiment in the set (as well as lots of other words) but I found these cute ribbon slide charms at work and thought they were just too perfect!

100K Blog Candy & more Lily

Well...I can't believe my little ol blog has finally snuck up near 100,000 hits!  Holy cow!  So, in celebration of the milestone which I'll hit in the next couple of days I am offering up a bit of blog candy!

I'm back with more Enchanted Lily (by Pink Cat Studio).  The Papertake weekly challenge  last week was to use up scraps...and these are the scraps left on my table from my last Lily card...so I used another Lily image!

I cut a Blossom Nestabilites out of the green pp, and I'll be darned, it looks like a lily pad...hehe!  The sentiment is also from Pink Cat Studio, same set.  The swirls are a Bo Bunny flourish set.

If you look close at Lily (see below) you can see the Shimmerz I used on the flower she's perched on and her wings.  All other images were colored with copics.

She's so shimmery and pretty I just love her!  Supplies are listed below.

Howdy Little Partner

Just a quick post for you today before I head out the door.  This is a card for Jodi's challenge over at the Pink Cat Studio blog. 

Here's the closeup of Sweet Pea that I used.  She's all decked out in her cowboy gear.  Hehe!  Don't know why I needed this set so much...I only have one pregnant friend right now...but all of the Sweet Pea images were just too darn tootin' cute!

The challenge is a Geometry challenge...to use one square, one circle...of 2 different pattern papers....and the card is to be a rectangle.  And of course you have to use at least 1 image from Pink Cat Studio.

Here's the full card.  I used some old cowboy papers from Creative Imagination...they were both double sided so I ended up with 3 patterns :)  The charm is Karen Foster.  Isn't Sweet Pea  just the cutest?!!

 

BTw, I went to see Star Trek again yesterday with my son...I may be a total nerd but it was awesome!  Can't wait for the next one:)

Enchanted Lily

OK, so yesterdays post didn't happen...sorry.  But here's the Lily card that I planned for then.  This fun image is my fav from the Enchanted Lily set from Pink Cat Studio.

Lily was stamped and then cut out and popped up on the background.  I colored her wings with white Smooch...so they really shimmer!  I left a sentiment off for now cause I'm not sure what I want on there.

So, for the news...not mongo-huge but I am thrilled...remember I told you guys a while back that I get to be a guest designer for Pink Cat Studio one month this year...well, Melissa emailed and asked me to do June!  Yippee!!  she must have known I needed a pick-me up!  I got a peek at the images and they are totally adorable!!  Can't wait to get them in my hands!

B is for Baby

Uh oh, I made this card days ago for this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge, and its almost time for a NEW Thursday challenge!  So, just in time...

This weeks challenge was to use letters or numbers on a card.  I thought it would be cute to do a block, but instead I ended up just using the block as the beginning of the sentiment.  I got to use another of the images from my new Sweet Pea set :)  Sweet Pea is one of my newest from Pink Cat Studio.

Here she's perched on a flower playing with a ladybug...hehe!  Like my blue ladybug??

Sweetpea is colored to match some old Basic Grey papers from my stash...from the LilyKate line.  The chipboard B outline is from Close to My Heart.

Animal Antics...and LOST

This weeks challenge over at Papertake Weekly  is to make a card with an animal image on it.  well, easy!  I had these cute new Sweet Pea stamps from Pink Cat Studio that were dying to get inky...and look at cutie-patootie Sweet Pea riding on the giraffe... ca-ute!!  Melissa blows me away with her adorable and fresh images!!

This is from last months release, Sweet Pea plate #2 (yes, there are 2 whole sets of adorable baby images!!).  I colored her to match the Cosmo Cricket Girl  Friday line.  I also got to use my new Labels 4 dies that have thus far been hiding in the package??

Amy R Sketch...more Kiki Kitty

 I am back with more of the adorable Kiki Kitty from Pink Cat Studio.  I used Amy R's  sketch from today (can you believe I did a challenge on the DAY it was issued??).  It is her first sketch re-winded to last year...but actually challenge #53!  Go Amy, and keep 'em coming!!

Kiki is cut out with Labels #2 from spellbinders, inked with my Copic Airbrush system and colored with copics.  I chose to leave off the sentiment this time and have an ebveryday card with blank inside so I can decide later what its for :)  Its not intended to be a birthday card...but I find my kids constantly needing cards for parties lately (insert whine AND eye roll)

Thanks Fairy Much

  Today I have Lily for you from the Enchanted Lily stamps by Pink Cat studio.  I just ADORE this set!  Melissa gave us all a peek with a digi image a couple of months back, and we all loved Lily the fairy so much that she  created a whole set of Lily fairies!!

I used Lauren's sketch from sat for this layout...see the sketch HERE  at Lauren's blog.  I of course had to edit just a wee bit :0  I left off one of the circular elements on the top left.

Lily is colored with copics, then then flower is painted on top with pink Shimmerz.  The butterfly border is a rubon from Heidi Grace that matches the pp I used.

Hello Cupcake!

 Happy Sunday!  Here is Kiki Kitty... one of the new releases from Pink Cat Studio last month.  Kiki comes in 8 cute little images plus bunches of sentiments :)

For this card I used Jen del Muro's  Sketch for You to Try from yesterday...plus the color combo challenge from Papertake Weekly  last Monday...Orange, Pink, and Brown...yum!!

I got to pull out some funky Sassafras Lass paper with just these colors!  The frame is created with a Technique Tuesday tile inked with Colorbox chalk ink.  and hard to see, but the heart candies on the cupcake are covered in clear glaze to make them extra shiny!

I am not dead...just lost

No seriously...The house went on the market this week, major house cleaning, plus I have been down with a nasty sinus thing...and to boot my computer is wigging out.  So, no, I am still here :)

But I am enjoying a few days to have a LOST marathon!  One of my new buds from work lent me her 1st season since I had never seen it, well, now I am hooked!

But, you probably want to see some eye candy, right?  Here's a couple of quickie challenges from last weekend that never got posted this week.   This is Pretty Head Lily from the Greeting Farm.  I used Jen del Muro's SFYTT for the layout.  The paper is old, old, old Junkitz from my stash...rubons are from SU!  I embossed the white strip with a line of my Cuttlebug Frills...here's a closer shot:

Lily is one of the digi images from The Greeting Farm ...some are stamps, some are digi-but they are all one OR the other.  AND she has just come out with new sets...go check it out HERE!

My other card is for the Pink Cat Studio challenge.  It is a recipe challenge...LOVE...something that begins with L, O, V, and E...I used Lily, Ovals, Vintage Violet paper, and Eva paper from Basic Grey.

SFYTT: Dorothy Anya

Last week I found a new fun company, The Greeting Farm , it was formerly Pink Poison.  I remember hearing about it a while back when it first started, but never went to check it out.  But ooooo...such cute images!!

The bonus was...there are a few digi-images which you can download immediately!  Coolness :)

I downloaded Dorothy Anya...I just love her adorable oversized head...hehe. Did you see the cute little tiny bows I tied on her piggytails??  She is all decked out in a pale blue frock to match the Bo Bunny Valentine's paper.  The sentiment is from Pink Cat Studio.  The layout for the card is based on Jen's SFYTT from last saturday...I am just now getting around to posting it.

Lily the Fairy

  Melissa over at Pink Cat Studio is having a contest to start off the new year before her first 2009 release (scheduled for next Thursday Jan 15th!) :)  She posted a downloadable digi image of Lily the fairy over at the PCS blog.  All you have to do is make a card using this image and then enter it for a chance to win a FREE set!

I made 2 cards with Lily.  The first I colored her like a little pixie...green hair and all!  She is perched over  a giant mushroom...which I hand-drew.  I added lots of little bling to this card...gems on the mushroom, the wand and the greeting, as well as some sparkle in her hair and on her wings.

All the panels were sewn on with white thread.  The make a wish sentiment is from elzybells.

  My second card I matched Lily to this fun Heidi Grace paper that I just got at my LSS and have been dying to use!  for this one I used my labels 1 Nestabilites, tracing inside the edge for just a bit of border.  After Lily was all done I went back and painted on some Fruit Punch stickles...and made a discovery...stickles makes the ink from my printer run....urgh...it was all dry and fine for my copics.

Valentine Box, blog candy winner

First....random.org picked #10....Darlene L as the winner of my blog candy!  Darlene send me your snail mail and I'll get this out to you!

  Good morning!  I have a cute little box for you today:)  I needed a valentine goody of some sort for club and thought a box made from the heart Nestabilities would be cute.  I first tried doing it all as one piece for the base, but I needed a more substantial bottom to get it to sit up straight, so I ended up with a box bottom and then adhered my hearts to it.

I used the scallop and straight edge heart nesties...the kiwi heart was also run though with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.  The sentiment is from The Cat's Pajamas...Loving Mew.  Kitty is a Pink Cat Studiostamp, from the Kitty Christmas plate...I was inspired but one of the challenge cards at PCP...making the angel into a cupid...what a cute idea!  I cut out her horn and replaced it with the smallest heart from the nesties.

Inside the box is some starburst candy tied up in a cello baggie:)

  Also I have a cardfor you that I never got around to posting last week.  This is a Lizzie Anne Designssketch challenge card.  I used In the Treetop for the stamps.  PP is from Piggy Tales...is that cute paper or what??  (Cinderella collection)  Buttons are from My Minds Eye, paper is Cameo Coral, Kiwi Kiss, and PTI Chocolate.

Pink Cat studio Challenge 3

   

I was so happy this week to find time to start doing some challenges again!!  This card is for the  3rd challenge over at the Pink Cat Studio page at Paper Craft Planet.   Carolyn's challenge was to create something to do with the month of LOVE...so I used my newest Pink Cat Studio stamps, Lily & Billy winter and made them BFF with a little new Valentine's paper. 

The little heart stamp and the swirl under the skates is from CC Designs Snowmen.  Lily & Billy are colored with copics, then I added some Christmas Red stickles to the hearts and brads.  Pulled out the handy-dandy sewing machine again...do you believe it??

Amy's Friday sketch #42

 I am back from another few days off from blogging...sorry!  This is  Lily and Billy  going out to play in the snow...  Here's wishing we had some snow here in NC!  (Maybe in April if we are lucky!! ) 

 I used Amy R's  Friday sketch from last weekend (she gave us 2 weeks :)  ) for the layout and new Lily & Billy winter stamps from Pink Cat Studio for my sledders...the sentiment is also from the same set.

Amy had flowers as her embellies around the circle on her sketch, but I tried buttons...do you think they look odd all stacked up??     I can't decide.  Oh well.   I pulled back out the fun Christmas pp line from Bo Bunny...I had gotten this to make an acrylic album with, which of course I still haven't gotten around to. but hey, the paper matches the Baja Breeze jumbo ribbon perfecto!!  OK, I am off for the night...gotta get the kiddo to bed...he has been staying up a bitsy bit toooo late.    -Cyndi

Kitty Christmas

   Do you like my pink kitty??  Of all the cards I have made with Pink Cat Studio images I realized that I have never colored the kitty pink...well, its time to change that!  She is all decked out, complete with santa hat, to match my yummy Scenic Route paper!  I jazzed it up a bit with some of the little snowflakes from the set, stamped in black directly onto the patterns. then added a touch of stickles to the center of each flake. 

The present and bow were paper-pieced...I stamped the image 3 times...once on white, then once each on 2 different patterns for the present and the bow.  The rest is colored with my copic markers.  (Kitty's hat is also sparkly with frosted lace stickles:) )  The card actually opens with a shorter panel on the top.  It is held closed  together with the red button which is attached to the right part only and the left shorter panel slips underneath.

So, this is one of the cards that I submitted for the Pink Cat Studio DT call today.  Its using one of my brand-spankin' new sets...Kitty Christmas.  And let me tell you, these babies came super-FAST from Canada...less than a week!!  Woohoo!  Thanks Melissa!!  and to top it all...I used my FREE Pink Cat points for the set!

Here's another card made with the same set and same papers.  I didn't submit this one, turned out a bit odd I think.  But I have to say...this stamp is why I wanted this set!  I have photos of my cats doing exactly this!!  Except mine will actually climb up and SLEEP in the tree!

Pink Cat Studio Challenge

Need some shades??  Here's a wild challenge from Heather for Pink Cat Studio...3 times 3, 6 by 6, and 1 of 3.  The challenge can be found HEREat the PCS forum in Paper Craft Planet.

The color combo ( the one of three part) I picked was Pixie Pink, Tempting Turquoise and Silver.  Didn't have any silver cs within reach, so I added a bunch of silver dots with a silver sharpie poster pen.  The 3 times 3...3 different elements, 3 different of each...

3 different circle punches...

3 different buttons (actually I used 4)

3 diffreent ribbons

The only hard part for me was the 6x6...not usually so hard to make a large square card...I love those...but all the PCS images that I have are kinda smallish.  I ended up with Lily from the Dress Up Lily plate.  Anywho...I think it turned out wild but fun!

 Happy Friday!  I just love this little bundled up owl ;)  He is one of the many adorable owls in the Q.T. Hooty Owl plate from Pink Cat Studio.  I got the set months ago but never got around to inky the winter owl, so it was high time!

Q.T.  was colored with my copics then cut out in my Cuttlebug using a Labels 1 Nestabilties die.  Nothing really fancy with the card, but I did use Lauren Meaders  My Time sketch from last Saturday.

A little Pink cat told me...

That Pink Cat Studio is having a new release today!!  I have been ignoring my Pink Cat Studio stamps lately...so sad.  I LOVE all the images but I have been so busy with other stuff.  So they kept calling me this week and I decided to take on the challenge that Melissa set for the Pink Cat Studio DT on the Pink Cat blog...a Christmas card with non-traditional colors.  Hey, thats right down my alley!   

So this image is from the first set that I bought from Pink Cat Studio...cat plate 1.  I pulled out some of my new KI Memories paper for color inspiration...and I really adore pink and red together, especially for Christmas!  After I colored my kitty, I added a bunch of bling with my Candy Cane stickles to all the hats and bows :)

And I had the perfect color of buttons that I picked up from my LSS last month...so I layered them and added some white hemp to the center.  The ribbon is also from KI, but from a line a couple of years back...but hey, it matches perfect!

Off to Save the World

Oh my gosh!  There is a new stamp company getting ready to open for business and just wait til you see the adorable images!!  It called Whiff of Joy.  (You may notice the blinkie in my sidebar too)  Katharina  of Katharina's Creative Place  is taking pre-orders for the new stamps on July the 30th...and if you do it then...no extra shipping charges!!  (These babies are coming all the way over from Switzerland BTW)  Here is a peek-a-loo of Charlotte and Charlie:

Are they cute or what??  OMG!!  Inge and Kimmie from the ATS team have both been chosen to be on Katharina's DT.  Kimmie had a post linking to a  guest DT spot  and after I saw these little darlings I hopped right over to check out the details!

So, here is my card using Katharina's sketch.  I pulled out my still almost-new Billy stamps from Pink Cat Studio. Well, at least this cutie hadn't gotten inky yet...I think he is the last of the set to feel loved...so sad :(  I added his trusty side-kick poochie...but if you've seen the movie Sky High you know that we are all super!)

I colored the cuties in with my copics to match this fun new paper I bought from Christine at All That Scraps last week.  Its from My Minds Eye...I got like the whole collection and the buttons, thanks to some enabling from Kimmie from an adorable card she made!  I thought the colors in in, along with the star motif were just perfect!  I also got to use my new favorite Stampin' Up! color...Tangerine Tango...available in the new catalog in just 2 more weeks!

Its a pretty straight-forward card.  I did use my rectangle Nesatabilities and then raise that panel on dimensionals though...and you know I had to add some buttons!  Well, wish me luck (you guys have all been pretty quiet again this week)...this sounds like a fabulous opportunity...and I am already itching to make some more Christmas goodies!

SFYTT: Hoot Hoot Hooray!

I did another challenge card....hooray!!  This is for Jen del Muro'sSFYTT challenge from last Saturday (ok, so I am a bit behind...but I did it!).  I got my new Pink Cat Studio Q.T. Hooty Owl stamps inky...aren't they just the cutest??  I think I need to just print out a few challenges this weekend and use this set for all of them ;)  I have been busy scrapping for the last couple of nights...I will try to upload some of the better ones in the next day or 2, and don't forget this Sunday is the next Scrappy sketch!

But, back to the card.  I stuck pretty well to the sketch..using some old Bo Bunny paper that I found in my stash.  I pulled out the colors from there to color in the Q.T. Owl.  His hat is popped up on a dimensional, as is one of his balloons.The rest is pretty simple as the sketch was pretty fun all by itself.  And do you notice the background cardstock...pretty yummy huh?  Its the new Tangerine Tango from stampin' Up!  Being a demo does have its benefits :)

I am off to run a few errands then go to birthday dinner with the family at the Japanese steakhouse...a tradition during "birthday week" at our house.  Later Chickadees...    -Cyndi

Blog candy winner & some Pink Cat fun

Hey!  I am still alive...though I barely feel like it after these last few days.  Perry's birthday was Thursday, then Rachael's was Friday...we had 10 girls here Friday night, went to the pool Saturday afternoon, then had 2 more girls over Saturday night.  My house has been a wreck, I have been up way too late for my old bones every night, and I haven't been near the computer to read blogs or update mine :(

So, first I promised to pull a name for the blog candy.  After Friday night I had Rachael do a name from Random.org ...it chose Alyssa #20 who said:

I think I'm actually #20. I listen to metal. Slipknot, Korn, Rammstein, Pantera, Metallica, etc. Although, hubby and I just went to a Poison concert the other night (free tix) and had a blast! So we've been listening to old hair band stuff lately! :) Love the blog! And thanks for the chance! :o)

So, send me an email Alyssa with your snail mail and I'll get this sent off to you!! 

There were actually 3 (maybe 4?) who responded who listened to metal.  so you are not alone!  I had quite the range of responses, I thought I'd print it off and have Perry pull some up on i-tunes so we could check out some of the stuff I've never heard of!  since I didn't answer the question myself: The last cd's I bought were Natasha Beddingfield and Pat Monahan (the lead singer from Train)  Then I download these to my ipod...but I like to have some cd's for the car :)

On to stamping!  First I will share my entry for the Pink Cat Studio contest that ran last week.  The challenge was to create Lily or Billy's "room" using only Pink Cat Studio Stamps.  You could draw anything else.  I chose to create Lily a treehouse.  Both of my daughters helped with ideas and we had a ton of fun doing this:

Little Michael is helping out by holding the clubhouse shut in this shot :)  I used the big carousel notes in Wasabi for the tree top, the bottom was hand cut.  I cut strips of darker brown for the slats, then attached them with brads for the nails.  The slide was the biggest challenge...I'll just say urmph.

The clubhouse was made from the chocolate envelopes that came with the carousel notes.  You can see Lily peeking through the window :)  The grass is a strip of Celery cardstock cut in notches and curled down.  I also added a bunch of flowers, a kitty in the tree and some baloons for her birthday party.  Lily's friend is hanging out in the tire swing.

Here is the inside of the clubhouse:

It is all decorated for Lily's birthday party...complete with party hats, her presents, and some dress up fun for party guests.  The curtains were made from the fairy wings in the set (Dress Up Lily)  Some images are from the Dress Up Billy set.  Melissa is also releasing an accessory set in August to go with these two...

Here is also a card that I made while in the midst of this project last week.  I just couldn't get the idea out of my head!

The outside was done with the SU! Weathered background stamp.  When you open the chest it will be another bday card for my stash for little boys.  This Billy stamp is actually from the Billy Plate one.

Double Challenge

I have a double challenge for you today!!  This weeks Wednesday DT challenge at All That Scraps was a color challenge... Blue Bayou, Chocolate Chip, and Groovy Guava.  I love these colors together, but as I kept hunting through my kazillion CC Designs sets, nothing was jumping out for this combo.  BUT I remembered these new Pink Cat Studio stamps that Christine is now carrying at All That Scraps.  Perfect!

So then I headed over to the Pink Cat Studio blog because I also remembered a sketch challenge there this week :)  My layout isn't quite like the sketch (nothing new there), but I didn't stray too much either!

These Billy stamps are so fun!  I have had them for a couple of weeks and haven't gotten them inky yet...isn't that shameful?  I just ordered the new Billys too...hehehe...He is just so fun to color.
