Happy Sunday!  This is an image that I colored weeks ago and never made into a card.  But I just had an urge to finish it today :)

I used this weeks Farm Fresh Friday sketch from The Greeting Farm's blog.  Wendy is from the set Never Ever by The Greeting Farm.  She is colored with copics to match this gorgeous paper from K & Co...and then airbrushed inside the nestie frame.

The flowers were misted with Glimmer Mist to give them some shimmer and then tied atop a silk ribbon bow.  The circle elements in the corners are the Blossom die flower from spellbinders, cut then embossed with a Impressibilites screen over the die.  I then inked the raised flowers with a cats eye pad...but its very faint and almost impossible to see in the photo.

I wanted to share a cute pic from our recent Florida trip.  This is so typical of my kids...Perry HATES to have his picture taken, and also "hates" hugs, so everybody gangs up on him :)

Miss Anya & Summer Reading

I am back with more Miss Anya today. She is just wickedly cool.  She is colored in with Copics to match this fun summery paper from Basic Grey...then I added a some clear Glaze to her headband and purse for a cool shiny effect.  (Closeup is down below)  Anya is fresh off the farm...The Greeting Farm  that is.

The sentiment is from Amy R Stamps(Boutique sentiments, available at All That Scraps).  I used some fun new Prima flowers I got with my coupon from Michael's last week.  But I have had to behave again lately and go on an almost  no-spending streak :(

The background for the card was run through my Cuttlebug with the largest Curvy Rectangle up to almost the top with the fold so it stays intact.

  Here's the closeup of Miss Anya...see that shiny patent-leather headband!  Totally retro, and so is her green eyeshadow!  Love it!

OK, so thats it for the  card today.  I've had 3 classes in a row in the last 24 hours and I'm beat.  I'll share class projects tomorrow hopefully.

So...I am a total book series-aholic for those who don't know me.  I liked to get wrapped up in almost any series...so I thought I would offer some Summer reading suggestions for the next few weeks.

Summer Reading Recommendations:

Right now I'm mostly done with a series by Charlaine Harris...the Sookie Stackhouse novels.  If you want a bit of a wild mystery ride, some sexy and dysfunctional undead characters and the wittiest heroine since Stephanie Plum..then here you go.  A bit too much sexy talk for younger teens,  but not too explicit for those who don't want to read the deets.... you know.

I have laughed out loud at these and stayed up too many nights reading a whole book in one night...just one more chapter...  Total thumbs up from me!

OK, so my humor is just a bit off today....sorry.  But I just love not only this image but the matching sentiment from The Greeting Farm.  Little bunny is just hanging out having a lazy day on Miss Turtle's back.  Think they are heading to the pond for a swim?

The images are from the set "Down by the Pond".  Papers are an assortment from Making Memories and K& Co.  Miss Turtle has been paper pieced with the same dots as the background piece.

Greeting Farm Friday

Happy Friday! Its been a good week, I have had more stamping time, my house isn't a disaster and my allergies aren't killing me. Woohoo!  I feel like celebrating, or shopping, but sadly I am broke.

So, in lieu of going shopping myself, I colored up this cute  Miss Anya with all her shopping bags.  (Anya is from The Greeting Farm)  I was in a pink & black kinda mood so I pulled out this really old yet fun paper from Urban Lily.  I also finally tried out my new "Smooch"...I used the pretty pearl white on her argyle socks and her eyeshadow...click on the image for a closeup!  (got the smooch from Betty).

The layout for the card is Dawny's sketch from this weeks Papertake weekly Challenge (I know I did one already, but I liked it!)  Sentiment is from Amy R Stamps (designed by Amy Rysavyand available through All That Scraps).

I am not dead...just lost

No seriously...The house went on the market this week, major house cleaning, plus I have been down with a nasty sinus thing...and to boot my computer is wigging out.  So, no, I am still here :)

But I am enjoying a few days to have a LOST marathon!  One of my new buds from work lent me her 1st season since I had never seen it, well, now I am hooked!

But, you probably want to see some eye candy, right?  Here's a couple of quickie challenges from last weekend that never got posted this week.   This is Pretty Head Lily from the Greeting Farm.  I used Jen del Muro's SFYTT for the layout.  The paper is old, old, old Junkitz from my stash...rubons are from SU!  I embossed the white strip with a line of my Cuttlebug Frills...here's a closer shot:

Lily is one of the digi images from The Greeting Farm ...some are stamps, some are digi-but they are all one OR the other.  AND she has just come out with new sets...go check it out HERE!

My other card is for the Pink Cat Studio challenge.  It is a recipe challenge...LOVE...something that begins with L, O, V, and E...I used Lily, Ovals, Vintage Violet paper, and Eva paper from Basic Grey.

Lily is from the Dress Up Lily set.  The layout is Amy R's sketch from Friday a week.

I'm turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese...I really think so...

  I am totally not going to do song lyrics for every post...only the uber-creative Shannan can do that, but it was just so fitting!

I uploaded a bunch of stuff last night, but I just now realized  that I never got around to editing my pics, urgh.   BUT, luckily I have a couple of things I haven't shown you yet.

First up is Geisha Anya, a digi image from The Greeting Farm.  There are tons of new images coming out there...last week and next week, most in rubber, but also a couple of new digis too.

For this I pulled out my trusty old SEI black Orchid pad and colored her with copics.  Pretty straightforward.

Here's another  did a couple of weeks back for work.  The tree stamp is by Hero Arts...sentiment by Verve.  I added a bit of sewing and a flower but wanted to keep the look really simple in keeping with the Asian style.  (paper is Basic Grey Ambrosia line)

Challenge cards & Snow & CHA peek link

I have been a bad  blogger again this week.  Sorry.  There has been a lot going on here...including  a bit of SNOW finally!  Here's a peek at my 2 youngest yesterday, out playing in the whopping 2 inches we got...woot woot!!  (Hey, its NC...thats a LOT for us!)

  At least they had fun and I got a couple of snapshots to make layouts with!  But I know, thats not why you are here.  Wanna see some cards??

First up is my magical unicorn card!  There is a contest going on over at The Greeting Farm...just download the unicorn image and create a magical unicorn, then you could win 2 free sets!  Woohoo!!  (Only thing is, today is the last day so you better hurry!)

Here is my unicorn...I felt that green was a nice magical color, with blue hair, right??  She matches this adorable pp from heidi Grace.  she is cut out with circle nestabilites, and I added a touch of bling with some fun gems that I am TOTALLY addicted to right now.  The yummy ribbon is from my stash.

Here's a closeup of her.  Her name is Starpaw.  You can see here the shimmer of her mane...there is magical unicorn dust in her hair (kind of like pixie dust??)  That was created with a Stardust glitterpen from Gellyroll...a must have for all crafters!

I pulled out my handy dandy Prisma pencils for this one.  My shading isn't bad, (I used copics after for more variation) but I still have streaks where the pencil lines are in the center when I try to blend with the stump.  any suggesstions?

  Next card is for the Whiff of Joy Challenge blog weekly challenge.  This week is a sketch by Katharina.  I did stick to the sketch, but It still needs something.  (More layers??) Darker color to ground it?  Can't decide.  This is what happens when I don't sit and look at a card over a couple of days before I finalize it.

I was trying to use up some scraps on my table from a Piggy Tales project from last week...BTW, did I show you that?  I will in a sec....maybe tomorrow...hehe.  This is almost the end of what I have of the Cinderella collection..but I may can eek out one more card another day with some bits :)

I used my fav of the newest Party Animals release from Whiff of Joy...Henry Celebrating Mouse (along with Party Sentiments).  Is he just stinkin' adorable??!  He is also all colored in not only with copics, but layers of Shimmerz paints on top!

Here you can see his sweet pink glimmering ears!  They just make me want to squeel!!  I love, love, love my Shimmerz!  I only have a handful of colors. My LSS doesn't have any of the new ones that I am coveting...Yet!

BUT, speaking of Piggy Tales earlier...the rep was in our store a couple of days back and the new PT lines coming out next month....eeeekkk!!  I can't wait!!  I love getting peeks:)  If you didn't follow my link the other day, check out the Piggy Tales blog for peeks at the newest 4 collections!

SFYTT: Dorothy Anya

Last week I found a new fun company, The Greeting Farm , it was formerly Pink Poison.  I remember hearing about it a while back when it first started, but never went to check it out.  But ooooo...such cute images!!

The bonus was...there are a few digi-images which you can download immediately!  Coolness :)

I downloaded Dorothy Anya...I just love her adorable oversized head...hehe. Did you see the cute little tiny bows I tied on her piggytails??  She is all decked out in a pale blue frock to match the Bo Bunny Valentine's paper.  The sentiment is from Pink Cat Studio.  The layout for the card is based on Jen's SFYTT from last saturday...I am just now getting around to posting it.
