Owl always Love you

 A quick post this morning before I head to work.  This is for last weeks sketch challenge at SCS...I didn't get it posted here before.

I used Treehouse Stamps Owlentine set...they are just soooo adorable!  The sentiment is from the same set.  The sketch turned out to be fun...I love how the heart and flower combo all work together for the itty bitty element Rox had for this part.

Happy Owlentine's Day! (...and a plug for Memento)

(OK, so I actually have been working on TONs of layouts, its just that none are totally done and ready to share, yet.  Sorry!  I know when I polled you all a couple of weeks back a lot of you said...get back to the scrapping!  I am, I promise!  I will have a bunch to share in the next 2 weeks, promise!!)

I have been eyeing some sets at Treehouse Stamps for a while now...and I finally broke down and spent my birthday money on a combo order from Ashley  (TH owner and artist)...I got a couple of her sets plus a couple from other companies (a great way to get a bit of this and that and not pay shipping!!)...because shes now carrying TONS of new stuff from allover!  Thanks Ashley!  (and she is just the sweetest ever if you've never chatted with her :))

So, this is like my most favorite set she has ever drawn...I just love these cute love-birds and all their adorable sentiments!  The set is Owlentine.  I also got my Basic Grey Bittersweet paper and buttons from Treehouse Stamps with the same order:O

The layout for the card is Lauren Meader's  My time sketch from this last Saturday...I only cheated a bit...I left off one of the small elements where the flower is (there should be 2)...cause I just HAD to have ribbon and a sentiment {wink}.  I do think the layout is super cute and I know I will use it again!  

I used my Nestabilities Labels 1 for the mats for the owls, and for the right hand side panel...I put the edge of the paper in the center of the Nestie so I only got half of the largest label.  Hehe.  All stamps were inked with Memento ink, and all edges inked with the same.  This is my ABSOLUTE new FAVORITE ink!!!  The rep was in the store the other day telling us it was so great to use with copics, and of course I am like, yeah, whatever, you rep for them.  BUT, I have to say I pulled out that day 3 types of cardtsock, and a variety of inkpads.  The Memento was the only one that dried INSTANTLY with NO smearing...WooHoo!!!  Leave it to Tsukineko to come out with yet another gotta have pad!  Palette watch out!  There's a new sherriff in town!
